Photographic Workshop (with Zach & Ed)

Atglen, Pennsylvania

May 6, 2017:  Saturday - (Sunrise to 4pm)

Spend the day with Zach and Ed at Mercers Mills Historic Complex and historic Strasburg Railroad.

The Mill dates back from a 1744 land grant from William Penn. The first mill was built by the Quakers, Thomas Downing and Caleb Pierce. Remains of the millraces and dam can still be seen. Other important early structures include two stone houses, a barn and other rustic buildings. We will spend the morning capturing the Waldenesque beauty of this place. We will also be visiting the historic Strasburg Railroad after lunch where we will ride the steam train and have the opportunity to photograph the train yard.

Costs: $375

The full balance is due 60 days prior to the start of the workshop.

Limit: 10

Recommended Lodging: Please email me for information!

Driving conditions will consist of paved roads. When possible we prefer that participants car pool with each other to help limit our impact and get to know each other.

Fitness Level
Easy to low moderate. This workshop does involve some walking to arrive at certain shooting locations, while other shooting locations will be just beyond the parking lot. Even short walks to streams and meadows can involve slippery, uneven terrain, so hiking boots are recommended. A standard liability release form will be required before departure.

Participants should have a working knowledge of exposure (f/stop and shutter speed) and know how to operate their equipment.
